Blue Grass Energy is pleased to announce the winners of our 2018 Scholarship Program. Ten $1,000 scholarships are being awarded to graduating seniors served by Blue Grass Energy.

Logan Bechanan is the son of Doug and Cassinda Bechanan of Carlisle. He is graduating from Nicholas County High School.

Robert Bennett is the son of Robbie and Stacy Bennett. He is graduating from Mercer County High School.

Mary Briggs is the daughter of Will and Sara Briggs of Nicholasville. She is graduating from East Jessamine High School.

Michael Drummond is the son of James and Suzanne Drummond of Georgetown. He is graduating from Lexington Catholic High School.

Phillip Hatton is the son of Phil and Vickie Hatton of Richmond. He is graduating from Madison Christian Academy.

Ty Hutchens is the son of Jeff and Paula Hutchens of Nicholasville. He is graduating from West Jessamine High School.

Rebecca Piche is the daughter of Thomas and Tina Piche of Salvisa. She is graduating from The Piche Academy.

Kasey Pike is the daughter of Susan Pike of Cynthiana. She is graduating from Harrison County High School.

Anna Rose is the daughter of Harry and Sheila Rose of Lawrenceburg. She is graduating from Anderson County High School.

Annah Valenta is the daughter of Timothy and Loretta Valenta. She is graduating from East Jessamine High School.

Since beginning this program in 1991, Blue Grass Energy has awarded over $250,000 in scholarships to students in our area. Scholarships are based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and financial need.
